Winter Solstice Blesssing

The Winter Solstice, Tuesday 21st June 2022, is the shortest day and longest night, the deep depths of winter here in the southern hemisphere. The night our pagan ancestors celebrate "Yule" as if it is new years eve, with fire celebrating the light to come.

"As the seed pods have fallen upon the earth, in gestation, gaining nutrient preparing for the rebirth of spring."

Winter Solstice brings an opportunity for us to release what isn't serving us, to move toward the light tomorrow and onwards as we hibernate and rejuvenate slowly building our power and strength ready for the lighter days to come.

Winter Solstice is a time to sit back, take a breath and contemplate without judgment the things that are challenging us the most.

It’s an opportunity to look at what is not working in our lives, and again without judgement, but with intention, accept the things we can not change, and clear the path to bring in the opportunities to change the things we can change.

We invite you to light a candle, honouring the transmutation the light brings, say the Winter Solstice Prayer and partake in this 4 minute meditative practice video with Karen bellow.

Winter Solstice Prayer

“ May the longest night and the shortest day,

Bring rest to your mind and soul, I pray.

May you find guidance and may you find peace,

As the circle of light will slowly increase.

Embrace the magic, that the darkness bares,

Breath deep in the chill and shift in the air.

May you always be blessed with the light within,

And may well-being be yours as the new cycle begins.”

Solstice Clearing Practise

Get a pen and paper, it would be best to burn this paper afterwards, so also prepare to do that safely after this process.

So take some time now to become aware of the things you feel are shortcomings and ride the energy of solstice to let go of what no longer serves you, and clear and create the space for the solutions to come to you.
